A Word from Robin:

I love video commercials. Unfortunately we got those commercials all done and sent out to your churches before we had to make some necessary date changes. Be sure you’re all caught up and know the scoop on our 3 SoCal Kids Camps.

It’s going to be an amazing summer at Kids Camp and YOUR KIDS ARE INVITED! You’ve got 3 to choose from. Here’s what you can look forward to at Set Your Course – Kids Camp 2012:

Camp Emmanuel Heights ~ Friday, June 22- Sunday, June 24

This 3-day Kids camp is coordinated by Pastors Kevin Gotchal, Phil Young and Kirkley Peterson. Emmanuel Heights is located in Creston, California which is in between San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. We have housing for about 130 people, so this camp fills up pretty quickly. Susie Starr is our camp speaker. Susie and her animated “friends” are an instant win for everyone. Plus Susie communicates God’s word with anointing and amazing God-given skill. Your campers will be blessed.

Camp Sugar Pine ~ Saturday, June 30 – Tuesday, July 3

Our North Kids Camp has changed locations to Oakhurst. Come the first of the year, we had some challenges with our traditional dates and had to do something fast. God opened a door at Sugar Pine Christian Camp. The four-day Kids Camp goes over a weekend. Though the dates are unconventional, we hope your church, children and leaders will make amazing camp memories at Sugar Pine. Pastor Mark DiGirolamo is coordinating this week of camp. Our speakers are Larry Dotson and Robin Garvin. Larry is a dedicated minister to children and shares his message through his many puppet characters. Robin Garvin will also be sharing the chapel responsibilities with her “friends”. Our ZOOM missionary will be Glenn Garvin with Royal Family Kids.

Pinecrest ~ Tuesday, July 24- Friday, July 27

More change – one Pinecrest Kids Camp choice for 2012. This has proved a challenge to a few of our churches and we’re sorry for causing inconvenience. We are doing our best to be wise stewards while creating opportunity for many. Pastor Lorraine Couch will be coordinating the Pinecrest camp. Our camp speakers are Pastor Jeremy Hogue, children’s pastor at Victorville AG and Robin Garvin and her puppet friends. Together this team of ministers will challenge your kids to know and follow God for themselves. Our ZOOM missionary guests are Kirk and Yvonne Jones and family. The Jones’ minister to children and churches in Panama.

Passionate about declaring God’s character and making His name known, Robin Garvin believes in the local church and it’s call to show the world what Jesus looks like and Jesus really loves the kids! She leads SoCal Kids the “All Things Kids” department of the Southern California Assemblies of God. Robin has served as a children’s pastor with 3 SoCal churches and has ministered at SoCal Kids Camps for 20 years. Her teams lead Girls Ministries, KidMin, Junior Bible Quiz and Royal Rangers.
