One Heart: Pastors’ Wives

We’re all different and yet we share a common bond that connects us to one another.  Pastor’s Wives need a safe place to be encouraged, build friendships and find spiritual support along our journey.

We’ve all tried the alone thing… the isolated thing….the “nobody understands me and my life” thing.  And one thing we’ve discovered-we’re over it!  There IS a place of belonging and acceptance, just as we are.

Because we want to be intentional about everything we do as a group, one of our main goals is to provide places, time and space where relationships can be built.  It all hinges on this!  Relationship is the gateway to friendship, mentorship, agreement in prayer and encouragement, and so it takes a high priority in our gatherings.  Like a recipe, we add to that instruction and personal stories from those around us.  We need authenticity and honesty and a good dose of just being real.  That’s what is attractive to us, and one big way that God uses to impact our lives.

We have some new things on the horizon and hope that you’ll find a way to jump into as much as possible.  We are especially excited about our Pastors’ Wives Retreat, Feb 3-4 (Fri/Sat) at the Marriott in Ventura.  We tried to find a location that was a bit more central for all of us, and we’ve worked hard to keep the cost low.  We hope you’ll make it priority and get it on the calendar now.  Why not call some of your PW friends and come together!

For each one of us, ministry life looks different.  We walk it out in our own way, led by our passions, gift mix, schedules and personalities.  Through it all, we need to remember that we are in this together and we need the community of women who stand with us side by side.

Although we may be separated by distance, we are still connected with One Heart.
